Hey Julia,
Back home again. With beautiful memories in our suitcase! Had a excellent trip. From a relaxing 30K run in Simonstown to a great dinner with good friends in Cape Town to a awesome stay in Manyeleti – big 5 included! – to some beautiful dives in Sodwana Bay with a peaceful stay in Hluhluwe to spotted whales in Santa Lucia and Umhlanga. And much, much more. We absolutely fell in love with your country! (…) Travelling was comfortable. Flights on time, picking up and delivering the cars smooth, infrastructure OK. And most of the people very friendly and welcoming.
Some feedback;
- Khoka Moya (in the Manyeleti Game Reserve within Kruger National Park: http://honeyguidecamp.com/khoka-moya-camp/ ). Top! Stayed in the middle of wildlife (spotted four of the big five at the waterhole in the camp during our stay). We liked everything, the tents, the rangers and the food. Service was personal and excellent. Did safaris before but didn’t have an experience like here before. (…)
- Stille Woning was a nice place, not too far from Khoka Moya. We especially liked the Mexican restaurant in Witrivier 😉 Friendly people and good breakfast. (…) Website: http://www.stillewoning.co.za/
- Foresters Arms was a bit odd at first. Architecture didn’t match with what we had seen on our way to the hotel in Swaziland. Food perfect (maybe even a bit overdone compared to the poor country), service was good, stay was relaxing. And we enjoyed the fireplace in the room. Good advice to visit Swaziland. Also packagegroups in this place. Website: http://www.forestersarms.co.za/
Our experience is that smaller Guesthouses and B&B’s are more pricefriendly and offer more personal service. All of our accommodation offered perfect quality. (…)
Many thanks for your advice and help! Looking forward to meet you again. At Two Rivers or Two Oceans 😉
Regards and hugs from us all!
