This is the biggest timed cycling event in the world with over 37000 participants. The 110 km route leads from the start in the city centre towards the scenic Boyes Drive and Simon’s Town. The road continues past the entrance of Cape Point National Park and then winds its way past Scarborough and Ocean View towards Chapman’s Peak which is one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world. A steep ascent up the notorious Suikerbossie Hill will get the cyclists to the finish area at Green Point.
